The Sidhe.

The Sidhe, known as elves by most races, are the descendants of the Firstborn Erathiel and Seffany.

There were originally three types of elves living in Gwelith. The only remaining elves are the Inularyn - the Wood Elves. They live mainly in Tanglewood and Starkwood. The second type of elves - the Ilaryn or Grey Elves - have not been seen for hundreds of years since the last remaining families fled to the realm of the faerie. The last group - the Aetharyn or high elves - are believed to be extinct having been wiped out by the Dragon Rothgar in the Second Age.

The Drutharyn, or Shadow Elves, are not a true elven race, but are those elves who were corrupted by Zaw. Over the centuries the inter-breeding of the various elves have produced a distinct people.

They are shorter than humans, averaging 5', with a slight build. They have blond or brown hair and blue eyes. Wood elves lost most of their culture during the second age and the remaining elves are seen as uncivilised by most humans. Wood elves mostly worship Gwrien, though worship of the Tamaraith gods is not unknown.
